Skincare Basics: The No Fuss AM & PM Routine ⛅

Let’s be real, no one’s got time for a 15-step skincare routine! We’re not trying to win a beauty pageant at 6am or spend our evening auditioning for a K-Beauty commercial. Skincare should feel good, work hard, and slot into your real sometimes chaotic day. That’s where helloskin comes in. Our vibe is simple: effective ingredients and glowing results. Let’s guide you towards a no fluff, no confusion morning and night skincare routine.

☀️AM: Start Your Day with a Fresh Face

1.    Cleanse & Refresh
You don’t need to scrub your face like it’s a dirty pan first thing in the morning! A gentle cleanse first thing is enough to remove oil and whatever else your pillow gifted you overnight. The helloskin gel cleanser does the job while protecting your natural barrier. It’s lightweight, soothing and won’t leave your skin screaming for help!

2.    Hydrate First
Hyaluronic acid serum is your morning MVP. It’s the thinnest serum in the helloskin range, so it goes on first to hydrate your skin and make it the perfect sponge for what comes next. 

3.    Targeted Treatment 
Here is where you can add your azelaic acid serum.  If you’re dealing with redness or breakouts, this one’s a game changer. Use it after the Hyaluronic acid serum as a spot treatment or all over the face and give it a moment to soak in.

If you’re also using Vitamin C (this one basically makes you look like you slept 8 hours even if you didn’t lol), apply this next then wait for it to absorb before moving on. 

4.    Seal It All In
Lock in all that goodness with the helloskin moisturiser. Lightweight, non-greasy and packed with soothing ingredients (hello MultiEx BSASM compound). 

5.    Don’t Skip SPF
Top it off with a broad spectrum sunscreen. We love using a zinc based SPF to protect the skin and we are good to go for the day!

🌙 PM: Unwind & Recharge

1.    Remove the Day
Ditch the micellar water and use a helloskin makeup remover puff with just water to gently wipe the day away. Then cleanse with helloskin gel cleanser for that fresh, ready for bed feeling. 

2.    Exfoliate (1-2x a week only)
Using a gentle exfoliator once or twice a week keeps your skin smooth and clear of dry, dead skin cells. Avoid exfoliating more than twice a week to prevent irritation and barrier damage. 

3.    Time for Treatment (aka Retinol Rules)
If you’re using Retinol, it goes on right after cleansing in your evening routine. Our retinol is concentrated and not filtered down. So, we recommend using it on its own (no layering with hyaluronic acid or vitamin c). Let it absorb fully before moving on to the next step. 

Not using Retinol? Feel free to follow the same steps as your morning routine.

4.    Moisturise & Replenish 
Always end with the helloskin moisturiser to lock everything in and nourish your skin while you snooze.
